Divine guidance is the inheritance of the people of God. After all, Jesus is the wonderful counselor, and the spirit of counsel rests on Him (Is. 9:6; Is. 11:2). In my experience, the missing component in many counseling contexts has been allowing God to be a part of the process.
For the Lord gives wisdom, out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding (Proverbs 2:6).
I have also witnessed counseling that does not utilize sound psychological principles and approaches that would help people move forward.
The approach that I utilize looks to invite God into the process, while integrating up-to-date research into counseling, focusing on relationships (both with God and people) as a primary motivator and catalyst toward change.
We’ll take time to delve into your unique story and work together to uncover the root of the problems you are facing, so you can find the “hope of your calling, and the riches of His inheritance in His saints (Eph. 1:18).
